Hello everyone,

i have installed Pandora FMS Centos .iso free version on Wmware on a virutal machine with 30 GB HD and 4 GB of RAM. installed the Agents on Windows Servers i can see and monitor the clients from Pandora FMS webconsole they look fine.

Question is: that our comany uses Office 365 and we dont have a local mail server because we have deactivated our old mail server.
So now i need to configure the email alert notification so that i recieve the alerts in my outlook / my outlook official email address.

1- is it possible to activate the Email alert notifications on free version? If yes please kindly help me to configure this.

Hi,
In order to send alert emails you will need to configure an smtp server in your pandorafms server. By default it uses local postfix that is soon banned from email services like Gmail or Outlook. The solution is to set an external smtp server where pandora will rely the message and it will send it to the destination address.

Hi, I still couldnt configure this can anyone help me, is it possible to configure alert notification and recieve email in outlook using Pandora FMS free version?

Hi,
As explained you will need to configure your local postfix server to redirect to you smtp server or set in in pandora configuration.
Also share which steps and documentation are you following to configure the email alerts.

Hi,

Thanks a lot i already configured as you said. it works perfectly now thanks. the only thing is that i have to assign alerts on each device and on each critical situation so that the alerts get fired when that especifict situation is accuring with the host.
