Can anyone assist in the following when running the console install.php?

When logging directly into MySQL and then manually creating db pandora, creating the schema using /var/www/html/pandora_console/pandoradb.sql, I get numerous 1101 errors complaining about tables that can't have default values.  I also have some 1215's mixed in stating it Cannot add foreign key constraint.

Really not sure what to do at this point....

Since I had the db password generated, went ahead and dpkg installed server, modified dbpass with the password generated and then manually logged into mysql with 'pandora' and the password. Ran pandoradb.sql and pandoradb_data.sql using source cmd. It generated the errors mentioned above, 1101 and 1215 during pandoradb.sql and when running pandoradb_data.sql I get "Error 1146 Table 'padora.tmodule_inventory' doesn't exist" and 'pandora.tnews', 'pandora.tlocal_component', 'pandora.tpolicies', 'pandora.tpolicy_alerts', pandora.tpolicy_modules', 'pandora.tskin', 'pandora.tprofile_view' and pandora.tnotification_source_user'.

Restarted mysql anyway, went on with trying to start the FMS server and in pandora_server.error:

Hello dmcclain,

Check if in my.cnf file exists this line:

sql_mode=NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION.STRICT_TRANS_TABLES

and edit it as follows:

sql_mode=''

Please, tell us if that was the problem.

Regards.
My.cnf does not contain a sql_mode= line. It only has the two includedir /etc/mysql/conf.d and mysql.conf.d.

Greetings, dmcclain

If your file doesn't contain the line my partner told you, you'll have to create it yourself.

Code:
[mysqld]
sql_mode= ""

Please be sure that the line "sql_mode" is included in "mysqld" tag.

Let us know if this works. And do not forget to update your Pandora FMS installation, please.

Regards,

Eduardo.
Eduardo and Jose,

Thanks for the assistance. Adding the mysql tag did not work, however, installing the 733 version did work. That problem is resolved, however,....

I have a netflow probe setup in the network and it is forwarding to PandoraFMS. In the /var/spool/pandora/data_in/netflow folder, I have nfcapd running and creating multiple nfcapd.timestamp files. I have verified using nfdump -R to see flows.

I've enabled netflow in general setup and have validated the default paths in netflow window for capture files and paths to nfcapd, nfdump and nfexpire.

When I try to look at netflow in the netflow live, without changing any setting here, I click on 'draw' and I don't get any information. It says "No data to show".

Since nfcapd is running as root, I went back to the spool folder and changed owner to pandora.www-data for the files it placed there, thinking it was a permissions issue. That didn't help either.

Hello dmcclain,

We,ve just tested the Netflow Live Viewer (packets installed in CentOS Pandora FMS ISO) and it works with no problems.

Please, send us a screenshot of the result of command: nfdump -R /var/spool/pandora/data_in/netflow

Do the netflow explorer and other netflow options show any data?

Yes, netflow files were flowing and mutliple files into data_in/netflow, nfdump parsed them as well and provided all the statistics.

Found that the pandora_server was crashing.  Everytime I'd restart the server, I'd check the status and it would be inactive.  I went back and did a complete fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04, reloaded all the dependencies, php7.2 mysql8, etc., installed the new 733 console and had green indicators through all the steps, but it then gave me the common non descript failure error when trying to build schema and failed.  I went back to my.cnf, updated the [mysqld] mysql= " " and no difference.
Ok, where do I go from here?? I've tried the multiple fixes reported in communities including mysql= "" and no engine substitution. There is no usable information in any of the logs that tells me what the failures were incurred. What next for troubleshooting and getting this running?
