How do I find out Linux Resource utilization to detect system bottlenecks?

vmstat command reports information about memory, paging, block IO, traps, processes, and CPU activity. The advantage of vmstat command output is that the point is easy to read as well as understand. The output uses help identify system bottlenecks. Vmstat does not count itself as a running process though. Hope this helps!
